Fiber Arts:
Spinning, knitting and weaving are constant meditations. At meetings, homeschooling my children, relaxing in the evening you will often find me engaged in one of these activities.
Fiber arts were one of the ways I intentionally claimed my role as a producer in my home and community. Realizing that our foremothers spent months on end washing, preparing, and spinning fiber, I have been drawn to continue both reaching back into our heritage and pushing forward to find the place of fiber arts in our permanent cultures.
